Nexity Financial operates a wholly owned subsidiary bank, Nexity Bank, with its main office in Birmingham, Alabama and correspondent banking offices in Atlanta, Georgia, Columbia, South Carolina, Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Nexity's business focus is to grow assets through an extensive asset generation strategy, offer correspondent banking services to community banks and utilize the Internet to offer attractive products to depositors. Our company's management has an extensive banking background in the areas of lending, correspondent banking including funds management and fixed income investment services.

With assets of over $957 million, Nexity serves over 21,000 customers in all 50 states in the United States and 20 different countries. Nexity's senior management team has an aggregate of over 120 years experience in both banking and technology to implement its objective of becoming a leading provider of financial services.

Important Dates

March 12, 1999: Nexity Financial incorporates as GIBC, Inc.

March 26, 1999: Corporation's name changes to Nexity Financial Corporation.

November 1, 1999: Nexity Financial acquires all of the outstanding common stock of Peoples State Bank, Grant, Alabama.

January 5, 2000: Peoples State Bank's name changes to Nexity Bank, and the main office relocates to Birmingham, Alabama. The branch in Grant, Alabama continues to operate as a traditional bank under the name "People's State Bank."

January 5, 2000: Nexity Bank receives approval from the FDIC to commence Internet Banking operations and begins operations from its Birmingham, Alabama office.

February 22, 2000: Nexity Bank begins Internet operations.
